Not all deaths are recognized equally. Certain deaths may not be recognized by society as “acceptable” to grieve. This one-time workshop will explore the broad concept of “disenfranchised grief,” the grief we feel when we have losses that are unacknowledged or minimized by those around us. The workshop will be educational and supportive in nature and will provide ideas for coping as well as resources for support.
