The 1979 Circle recognizes the remarkable vision and enduring commitment of our co-founder, Dr. Billy Dunlap, the driving force behind the founding of Hospice of Wake County in 1979. Donors to the 1979 Circle create a circle of caring individuals dedicated to giving peace and hope, comfort and compassion to all those who need us.
Donors to the 1979 Circle are committed to sustaining the work of Transitions LifeCare through leadership philanthropy gifts of $1,000 or more each year. More than $500,000 each year comes from our generous donors who give through the 1979 Circle, and we count on these funds to reach our $1.5 million goal each year for indigent care, grief center programs, and our Transitions Kids program. What our 1979 Circle donors do for us is very special – 100% of these funds are spent on direct patient care. Thank you!
