In its first 13 years, Cabin Fever Throwdown has raised more than $545,000 for Transitions LifeCare, founded as Hospice of Wake County in 1979. The 2020 Cabin Fever Throwdown will be held Sunday, February 9, 2020 at the North Raleigh Hilton, 3415 Wake Forest Rd, Raleigh, NC 27609 (919-872-2323). The event will again feature a great lineup of live bands, dancing, door prizes, auction items, food, and cash bar. Doors open at 11:30am and the show is from 12:00 – 6:00pm.
Created in response to an unmet community need, Transitions LifeCare became the first and only program in the region to provide in-home care at end-of-life. Over the past 40 years, Transitions LifeCare has grown to provide not only hospice care, but also home health services, advanced planning, caregiver support, pediatric services, grief counseling, as well as community education programs. Proceeds from Cabin Fever Throwdown will help ensure quality compassionate care for all our patients, and a safe comforting place to heal for grieving families through our grief care program.
