Transitions LifeCare appoints Dr. Adam Wolk as new CEO
Transitions LifeCare is pleased to announce the appointment of Adam Wolk, MD, as its new Chief Executive Officer, following an extensive search process conducted by the Board of Directors. Dr. Wolk will succeed Dr. Laura Patel, who informed the Board of Directors earlier this year of her intention to step down from Transitions LifeCare.
Dr. Adam Wolk brings over a decade of robust leadership experience across health plans, academic and nonprofit settings. Since 2014, he has worked at Alignment Health, most recently as Regional Chief Medical Officer. Dr. Wolk earned his medical degree from the University of California, Davis, and completed his residency in internal medicine at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital. Additionally, he is working towards a Doctor of Public Health Leadership from the UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health. Beyond his role at Alignment Health, Dr. Wolk has been a dedicated member of our Board of Directors for six years, serving as Board President for the last one.
Dr. Wolk’s decades of leadership experience, combined with his dedication to compassionate care, will further strengthen Transitions LifeCare as the trusted provider of end-of-life services in our community.
